"We have reached a bittersweet moment in the history of the Fifth Armored Division Association. While we celebrate the legacy of this storied collection of bravery, valor and military success, and cherish the wonderful moments shared at a spectacular final reunion in Bangor, Main we also bid farewell to the Association that enabled so much goodwill and fellowship over the past 66 years.

On June 16, 2012 the Association voted at its annual meeting to conclude its business affairs and cease to continue as a going concern. Veterans in attendance were polled exclusively for the monumental decision and determined unanimously that this would be the final reunion and that the Association would dissolve." - Patrick A. DeMico - President
