We are pleased to announce that the 66^th and final reunion of the Fifth Armored Division Association will be held in Bangor, Maine June 14-17, 2012. Galen Cole, Past President of the Association has agreed to serve as our Reunion Host, and has planned a splendid itinerary for everyone to gather, share fellowship, and commemorate the historic efforts and accomplishments of the Fifth Armored Division.

Hotel accommodations have been secured at the Bangor Holiday Inn at the incredible rate of $59.00 per night plus applicable taxes and fees. Galen has also coordinated with local businesses and resources for preferred treatment for our veterans, and has dedicated resources from the Cole Land Transportation Museum as well. This promises to be a fitting culmination and send-off for our veterans, and the many people who wish to honor them.

There will be commemorative Fifth Armored Division walking sticks given to each Fifth Armored Division veteran in attendance, compliments of Galen Cole and The Museum. Thursday evening kicks off with scenic riverboat cruise of the Penobscot River aboard the “Patience.” Friday will feature a luxury bus tour to view the fabulous attractions at Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park followed by the traditional Ice Cream Social. On Saturday evening immediately preceding the banquet, Victor Musial will preside over the traditional Candlelight Service honoring the soldiers from each unit of the Fifth Armored Division and supported by our local color guard. The Saturday evening Banquet will be emceed by Bangor’s own Don Colson, who in conjunction with the Cole Land Transportation Museum is also donating signed copies of his 300-page book to be given to each veteran’s family in attendance.
